Westonka Welcomes Future White Hawks at Prospective Family Night
Families with children of all ages got a first taste of Westonka Public Schools’ “small school advantages with big school opportunities” during the district’s Prospective Family Night on Nov. 13.
Held this year at Westonka Middle School, the event offered a family-friendly introduction to the district, complete with a complimentary pizza dinner, a 45-minute program, and free childcare for ages 3-12.
While children enjoyed fun activities led by Adventure Club staff, parents heard a presentation highlighting Westonka’s academic programs, student supports, and co-curricular opportunities. Superintendent Kevin Borg was joined by principals from each school and other district administrators, who were available to answer questions following the presentation.
The event offered families a warm, informative introduction to the Westonka community and the opportunities available to students from early childhood through high school.
