Nominations are open through March 6 for the 2026 Ann Bremer White Hawks Award, a special award implemented by the district to recognize some of the many dedicated volunteers who offer exceptional service to our school community.

Families with children of all ages got a first taste of Westonka Public Schools’ “small school advantages with big school opportunities” during the district’s Prospective Family Night on Nov. 13.

Invite your friends and neighbors to join us Thursday, November 13, for a quick and convenient evening to discover the exciting things Westonka Public Schools has to offer. Dinner and childcare provided!

In-person absentee voting began Sept. 19 for the November 4, 2025 Westonka School Board election. Find a recording of the Sept. 18 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum, candidate profiles, and voting information on the district website, www.westonka.k12.mn.us/about-us/school-board/elections

We purchased all needed supplies to distribute to Westonka Middle School students and will add the cost of supplies to school fees to cover the cost. Based on feedback, this is a saving of both time and of money for parents in the fall, and we hope this helps ease the stress of back-to-school time.

Teacher Appreciation Week is designated during the first week of May as a time to honor the individuals who lend their passion and skills to education. At Westonka, each school celebrated their special teachers and staff members in their own unique way.

Westonka Public Schools staff and retirees gathered May 2 at the Westonka Performing Arts Center for the annual district recognition event. Emceed by Special Services Director Dr. Emily Rustman and School Board Clerk Loren Davis, the morning program honored staff who had reached years of service milestones, celebrated the building and district Teachers of the Year, recognized the 2025 winners of the Ann Bremer White Hawks Award for community volunteers, and bid farewell to retiring staff.
